The glute-ham bench enables users to perform many effective exercises that target the important muscles of the abdominals, lower back and hamstrings. It enables users to work the entire length of the spine and both knee and hip extension functions of the hamstrings not possible with the back- extension benches found in most gyms. It allows an athlete to strengthen the erectors especially in the middle portion, that in most sports, is exposed to high forces. Another benefit is that it’s one of the most important exercises for preventing back and knee injuries, especially to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The spine is exposed to great compressive forces in many sports, athletes weak in the hamstrings, glutes and lower back not only are more likely to injure the lower back but are especially prone to tearing the ACL. Because the glute-ham exercise increases muscle mass and strength in the back, glutes and hamstrings, those athletes who include this exercise are better able to withstand compressive loads on the spine that occur playing sports such as Rugby.

What is Powdercoating?
Frames go through a multi stage pre-treatment process to remove oil and chemically prepare frame prior to spray application of dry powder which is electrostatically applied then cured at over 200°C. Powder coating produces a high specification coating which is relatively hard, abrasion resistant and tough.

Our smart form pads are strategically shaped to deliver greater comfort and stability. If a pad is too soft it will wear, distort prematurely and cause users discomfort.
Utilising superior grade sanitised cloths that are abrasion resistant, thoroughly coloured, fungus and bacteria proof, skin and body compatible out lasting traditional upholstery and meeting relevant flammability standards. Cloth is double stitched to fit exactly the 10lb 38mm fire retardant foam a composition we have perfected over time and 18mm plywood boards, cloth is sewn into box structures to avoid folding at corners. Pads are anchored with 8mm t-nuts bolted to the machine framework for easy replacement. Also complete with replaceable Velcro fitted wear covers (with club branding option) on high fatigue areas and backing boards to hide staples.

This is a Limited Commercial Warranty: Framework (structural steel and welds) warranted for life against defects in workmanship and materials under normal use. We further warrant components, ie. Pulleys, cams, bearings, cables and all other transmission components for 2 years. Warranty does not cover upholstery, protective coverings or paintwork.
All warranty parts shipped free of charge.
Warranty extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Warranty is voided by evidence of intentional negligent misuse of the equipment in shipping, storage or use. The warranty is also voided if equipment has been modified, altered, or contains parts that are not supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
